Domain Expert FAQ
What's the difference between a Coach and a Domain Expert?
Coaches work with founders on an ongoing basis — strategy, accountability, and execution. Domain Experts provide deep, targeted knowledge in a specific field (e.g. regulatory, cybersecurity, AI ethics, legal, finance). Think of Experts as precision strikes; coaches as long-term partners.
What domains are most needed?
Currently high-demand areas include: AI/ML infrastructure, healthcare regulation, IP and patent law, fintech compliance, B2B sales, and international market entry (especially AU, US, UK).
How are Expert sessions structured?
Sessions are typically 45–60 minutes, focused on a specific founder challenge. You agree on the scope beforehand. Sessions can be one-off or recurring — your choice.
Is there compensation for Expert sessions?
Experts set their own availability and terms. Pro bono sessions earn reputation points and community recognition. Paid engagements are handled directly between you and the founder.
How do I get discovered?
Your Expert profile is searchable by domain, industry, and keywords. Founders can request sessions directly. We also match Experts to founders who've flagged relevant challenges.
What if I want to contribute but have limited time?
You can mark yourself as "available for async Q&A" — answering written questions on your own schedule, no live calls required.
